he East Side Engine are proud to announce Romalice “Flossy Woo” Shavers as General Manager of the franchise as the Developmental Football Association prepares for its Spring 2026 launch.

Shavers joins the Engine front office bringing championship experience, locker room credibility, and a leadership mentality rooted in urgency and accountability. Originally from Chicago, Illinois and now residing in Saint Paul, Minnesota, he is a graduate of Tartan Senior High School and also spent time at UNLV gaining football related experience and coursework.

A former semi professional athlete, Shavers played for both the Minnesota Sting and the Minneapolis Warriors. His career includes back to back championships with the Sting in 2012 and 2013 and national championships with the Warriors in 2022 and 2023. His experience competing at a high level provides the Engine with a leader who understands what it takes to win inside structured systems.

Beyond his playing career, Shavers has served as an Assistant Coach for the Coon Rapids Cardinals 8th Grade team, helping develop young athletes while reinforcing discipline, preparation, and accountability. His leadership philosophy is clear and direct: “Win today, because there may not be a tomorrow.” The standard under his leadership is preparation, intensity, and effort without compromise.

Shavers was drawn to the East Side Engine and the DFA by his continued love for the game and the opportunity to impact players beyond his own playing days. He believes the league provides a platform to stay connected to football while mentoring the next generation and reshaping how communities view the sport through structure, positivity, and purpose.

As General Manager, Shavers will oversee business operations and game day coordination for the Engine. His responsibilities include operational leadership, communication alignment, logistical execution, and ensuring the organization operates within DFA league systems and standards. He will work alongside the Head Coach to support roster structure and organizational stability while maintaining the proper separation between business operations and on field coaching authority.

His vision for the East Side Engine is to build a competitive, disciplined program that uplifts the community and teaches positivity through hard work and dedication. The team motto reflects that mindset: We win today, because there may not be a tomorrow.

A lifelong Chicago Bears fan, Shavers draws inspiration from figures like Mike Tyson and credits Aaron Anderson as a mentor in his professional journey. Outside of football, he collects retro video games, builds cars, is an active member of a car club, and is currently rebuilding an SRT. He is also the founder of 93TTy Cart3l Clothing, with the brand launching soon.

With Shavers stepping into the General Manager role, the East Side Engine continue building a culture centered on championship standards, accountability, and community impact as the DFA moves toward its inaugural season.
